About the Toy Piano Composers
The Toy Piano Composers, formed by Monica Clorey and Chris Thornborrow in July 2008, is a composer collective dedicated to bringing imaginative, creative new music to Toronto and beyond. The toy piano acts as a symbol of the group, representing playfulness, innovation, humor, and imagination. The purposes of the Toy Piano Composers are to facilitate the creation of new musical works and to have them performed and recorded, and to make a close community of composers and performers who are interested in new music. We are currently in our fourth season, and we've presented 10 concerts featuring everything from toy piano to orchestra to all manner of chamber music.

Funding
The Toy Piano Composers are a volunteer, non-for-profit organization run by composers. Currently, we maintain our finances by member dues, ticket sales, and small grants from the Toronto Arts Council and the SOCAN Foundation. We have been able to continue putting on concerts, with composers virtually always composing for free. With your generous donation, we will be able to grow as an organization by attempting new exciting projects, such as:

1) being able to pay our composers an honorarium for their work on a regular basis;

2) hiring a Toy Piano Composers Ensemble to work with regularly;

3) recording a CD of TPC compositions to acquire a wider audience;

4) being able to put on TPC concerts in other cities; and

5) hiring a part-time administrator to aid us in our endeavours.

Any donation received will help us to work towards achieving these goals, and will also act as a powerful signal to granting bodies that we have the support of the public in our endeavours.

Levels of Donation

Mini Toy Piano ($20+)

At this level of donation, we will recognize your contribution in our programs and website.

Upright Toy Piano ($50+)

We will recognize your contribution in our programs and website, as well as give you two complimentary tickets to a Toy Piano Composers concert.

Baby Grand Toy Piano ($100+)

We will recognize your contribution in our programs and website, as well as give you two complimentary tickets to our entire season*.

Concert Grand Toy Piano ($200+)

We will recognize your contribution in our programs and website, as well as give you four complimentary tickets to our entire season*, and a half page ad in our program for a full season.

Elite Concert Grand Toy Piano ($500+)

We will recognize your contribution in our programs and website, as well as give you eight complimentary tickets to our entire season*, and a full page ad in our program for a full season.
